There are a number of reasons to visit a dentist. Most of our patients come to us seeking our expertise in reconstructive, cosmetic dentistry, and TMJ related disorders. Whatever the reason, our trained and experienced staff will help make your first appointment appropriate to your needs and desires.
No two people are alike, and Dr. Swenda takes the time to learn how he can make a difference for each and every patient. For most, your first visit will begin with an initial consultation with Dr. Swenda. He believes in taking the time to listen and understand your long-term goals, your vision for your oral health, expectations, timelines, and your life circumstances. Dr. Swenda will then be better prepared to provide the highest quality aesthetic, restorative and general dentistry that is appropriate to meet your specific individual needs and desires.
Please contact our office, so we can determine the appropriate appointment tailored for your needs.
Our Comprehensive Examination
After your initial consultation, most patients are recommended a comprehensive examination. Our comprehensive exam consists of a complete series of digital photo images, x-rays of the teeth and surrounding bone structure, periodontal evaluation, tooth by tooth survey, cavity detection, TMJ evaluation, oral cancer screening, and blood pressure screening. Additional diagnostics may include mounted models of the teeth to study bite issues, 3D i-CAT imaging of the jaw and surrounding structures. A complete and thorough examination helps to insure a dental restoration that’s naturally attractive, functional, comfortable, and long-lasting.
Our Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
Dr. Swenda is highly trained in diagnosis and treatment planning and believes that these are some of the most valuable services he can provide. Once we have a mutual goal for the future and have properly diagnosed the problems, we then develop an appropriate strategic plan that is properly sequenced and fully understood by our patients. Dr. Swenda is trained to diagnose the needs for all aspects of dentistry, even though he does not treat them all. He works closely with a team of specialists and lab technicians to provide the best outcome for his patients.

Patient of Dr Swenda’s
Dr. Swenda sends out a patient survey to each patient, the day after the patient’s appointment. Dr. Swenda and his staff want to continually strive to give the best patient care, and want to know how each patient feels about the office appointment, and the experience with our staff. Here is one of Dr. Swenda’s patient’s replies:
“In the model of Disney World, from the beginning to completion of an extended experience, you collectively are the best! It is evident that everyone is a team player and holds himself to the highest standard of customer service and professionalism. You well deserve the honor of being the best in our area. (Truth be known you are the best everwhere.) I extol your virtues when discussing customer service with my 250 associates. Actually as a patient, our relationship goes well beyond. I consider you all as dear and appreciated friends. I trust my self and family to your loving care.”
